Ridge Point Panthers (Missouri City, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Heights for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. Ridge Point will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Dobie (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Sherman falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Angleton (Angleton, TX) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 3. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. Angleton won 18-0 in their recent league test against Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX)
