Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) and the host Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC), saw Scotland's baseball squad edge Cape Fear by a margin of 5-4.
Coming up next, the Fighting Scots play the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, March 7. Scotland will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Bucks enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 10-4 non-league loss to Red Springs (Red Springs, NC).
The Colts now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lumberton for a United Eight 3A/4A battle on Tuesday, March 7. Cape Fear will play a Pirates squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 1-1.
