Waltrip Rams (Houston, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Kelly Catholic Bulldogs (Beaumont, TX), 9-7 in a non-league test.

With the win, Waltrip upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Rams travel to Galena Park (Galena Park, TX) to battle the Yellowjackets in a 5A Region III District 19 test on Monday, March 13. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 7-1.

With the defeat, Kelly Catholic falls to 7-7 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Cooper (The Woodlands, TX) to battle the Dragons in a non-league test on Saturday, March 4. The Dragons come into the test with a record of 2-0. Cooper won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Tomball Kings (Tomball, TX)
