The Van Alstyne Panthers baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Village Tech Viper Squid to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.

The Panthers (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Anna (Anna, TX). The Coyotes go into the 4A Region II District 11 match with a 3-6 record. In their last match, Anna was overwhelmed by Sachse (Sachse, TX), 4-1, in a non-league match.

The Viper Squid (0-6) will now prepare for their match against Trenton (Trenton, TX). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Trenton gained a win over Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX), 8-5, in a non-league match.
