In Friday's non-league outing, the Bear Lake Bears (Montpelier, ID) basketball squad edged the host Kellogg Wildcats (Kellogg, ID), by a count of 53-48.
The Bears (21-2) will now prepare for their outing against Melba (Melba, ID). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 23-0 record. In their last outing, Melba held off St. Maries (St. Maries, ID), 62-58, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now hold a 19-8 record.
