The Newell-Fonda Mustangs topped the host North Linn Lynx basketball team by a final score of 66-48 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Mustangs face the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 4. Newell-Fonda will attempt to move on its 25-2 season record. The Golden Bears enter the game with a 27-2 record after their 73-39 non-league win over St. Mary's (Remsen, IA).
With the defeat, North Linn moves to 23-1 on the year.
