In Friday's non-league outing, the Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) basketball squad edged the host Tatum Coyotes (Tatum, NM), by a margin of 52-47.
The Panthers (15-13) will now prepare for their outing against Capitan (Capitan, NM). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 22-6 record. In their last outing, Capitan held off Academy for Technology and The Classics (Santa Fe, NM), 44-21, in a non-league outing.
The Coyotes now own a 20-7 record.
