Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lowry Buckaroos (Winnemucca, NV), 18-12 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Dayton for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24.

With the loss, Lowry falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Buckaroos travel to Quincy (Quincy, CA) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
