Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Savannah Arts Academy Panthers (Savannah, GA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Sharks confront the Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA) in a 4A Area 3 challenge, on Tuesday, March 7. Islands will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 4-0 league loss to Benedictine (Savannah, GA).
The Panthers now possess a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Vidalia for a 2A Area 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Savannah Arts Academy will confront a Indians team coming off a 5-2 league loss to Toombs County (Lyons, GA). The Indians record now stands at 3-5.
