Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Los Alamos for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. Albuquerque Academy will battle a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Manzano (Albuquerque, NM). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Highland falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Valley (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4.
