In Friday's non-league outing, the host Anson Bearcats softball team scored a close 9-8 win over the North Stanly Comets.

Coming up next, the Bearcats encounter the Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, March 7. Anson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.

The Comets (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs enter the Yadkin Valley 1A/2A outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Robinson was tipped by South Rowan (China Grove, NC), 14-1, in a non-league outing.
