Arizona College Prep Knights (Chandler, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rio Rico Hawks (Rio Rico, AZ), 13-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tempe for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 6. Arizona College Prep will battle a Buffaloes squad coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ). The Buffaloes record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Rio Rico falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Sabino (Tucson, AZ) to battle the Sabercats in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 6. The Sabercats enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. Sabino won 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ)
