The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Chalmette Owls (Chalmette, LA) and the host Willow Lions (New Orleans, LA), saw Chalmette's softball squad achieve victory over Willow by a count of 18-1.
The Owls now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to French Settlement for a non-league match on Saturday, April 1.
With the loss, Willow falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA) to face the Swamp Owls in a 4A District 9 match on Saturday, March 4. The Swamp Owls enter the match with a record of 0-0.
