Texas High School Softball - Timpson holds off Chireno

Timpson Bears (Timpson, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chireno Owls (Chireno, TX), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nacogdoches for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. Timpson will face a Dragons squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Chireno falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Owls host Lufkin (Lufkin, TX) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 5-5.
