The South View Tigers softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Laney Buccaneers to 6 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, South View moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Tigers host Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC) to clash with the Falcons in a United Eight 3A/4A game on Tuesday, March 7. The Falcons come into the game with a record of 0-1. Seventy-First lost 18-0 in their recent non-league game against Hoke County (Raeford, NC)

In their next game, the Buccaneers clash with the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 7. Laney will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 1-1 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC).
