Texas High School Softball - Lone Star bounces Wylie East

Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wylie East Raiders (Wylie, TX), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Rangers now own a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cooper for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. Lone Star will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Pirates record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Wylie East falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Raiders host Sachse (Sachse, TX) to battle the Mustangs in a 6A Region II District 9 challenge on Thursday, March 9. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. Sachse lost 15-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Plano (Plano, TX)
