Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), 18-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Navajo Prep for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Piedra Vista will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Valencia falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Goddard (Roswell, NM) to battle the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Goddard lost 6-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)
