Texas High School Softball - Petersburg topped by Slaton

In Sunday's non-league contest, the Slaton Tigers (Slaton, TX) softball team overwhelmed the host Petersburg Buffaloes (Petersburg, TX), by a margin of 24-4.

With the triumph, Slaton moves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Liberty (Lubbock, TX) to play the Patriots in a 3A Region I District 2 contest on Tuesday, March 19. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 7-12.

In their next game, the Buffaloes play the Dimmitt Bobcats (Dimmitt, TX) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 11. Petersburg will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
