The Straughn Tigers baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Ashford Yellowjackets to 10 in the Tigers non-league win on Monday.

The Tigers now hold a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montgomery Catholic for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 5. Straughn will play a Knights team coming off a 14-11 non-league loss to Montgomery Academy (Montgomery, AL). The Knights record now stands at 2-9.

With the defeat, Ashford drops to 7-4 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Brantley (Brantley, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Monday, March 3. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 0-0.
