The Lafayette Lions baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Westminster Christian Academy Crusaders to 0 in the Lions non-league win on Monday.

The Lions now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Pineville for a non-league test on Friday, March 7. Lafayette will clash with a Rebels team coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 5-8.

With the defeat, Westminster Christian Academy drops to 3-5 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA) to clash with the in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 5. The go into the test with a record of 10-2. Ascension Episcopal won 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA)
