In Monday's league game, the visiting Jonesboro Cardinals baseball team scored a close 7-3 win over the Lovejoy Wildcats.

The Cardinals (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Forest Park (Forest Park, GA). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Forest Park was overwhelmed by Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA), 6-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the Wildcats play the South Atlanta Hornets (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 5. Lovejoy will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
