In Monday's non-league test, the Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) lacrosse team edged the host Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC), by a count of 9-8.
Next up, the Whirlies battle the Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC) in a Metro test, on Tuesday, March 4. Grimsley will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Cowboys enter the test with a 0-2 record after their 19-9 non-league loss to Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC).
The Camels (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC). The Cardinals enter the Mid-State/Mid Piedmont/NW Piedmont test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Cornerstone Charter got by Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC), 19-9, in a non-league test.
