In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Palma Chieftains lacrosse squad scored a tight 10-9 win over the Monterey Dores.

The Chieftains (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA). The Pirates enter the PCAL - Gabilan contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Stevenson nipped Soquel (Soquel, CA), 17-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Dores meet the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs (Watsonville, CA) in a PCAL - Mission contest, on Wednesday, March 5. Monterey will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 15-1 non-league loss to Mountain View (Mountain View, CA).
