Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC), 13-4 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Villains confront the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) in a Northwest Piedmont 1A challenge, on Friday, April 1. Bishop McGuinness will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 5-1 non-league win over River Mill (Graham, NC).
The Grizzlies now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Asheboro for a Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge on Monday, April 4. Oak Grove will confront a Blue Comets team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Blue Comets record now stands at 2-2.
