In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting East Forsyth Eagles soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Watauga Pioneers.
The Eagles (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC). The Demons go into the Central Piedmont 4A battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, R.J. Reynolds nipped Glenn (Kernersville, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.
The Pioneers (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies go into the Northwestern 3A/4A battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Ashe County was nudged by Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
