The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the California Grizzlies (San Ramon, CA) and the host Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA), saw California's lacrosse team top Piedmont by a margin of 20-7.

The Grizzlies (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Monte Vista (Danville, CA). The Mustangs enter the East Bay challenge with a 3-7 record.

The Highlanders (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Newark Memorial (Newark, CA). The Cougars enter the West Alameda County challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Newark Memorial was overwhelmed by Dougherty Valley (San Ramon, CA), 17-0, in a non-league challenge.
