Canyon View Falcons (Cedar City, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cedar Reds (Cedar City, UT), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richfield for a 3A Region 12 challenge on Thursday, March 31. Canyon View will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Emery (Castle Dale, UT). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Cedar falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Reds travel to Desert Hills (St. George, UT) to face the Thunder in a 4A Region 10 challenge on Friday, April 1. The Thunder enter the challenge with a record of 7-7. Desert Hills won 4-1 in their recent league challenge against Cedar (Cedar City, UT)
