In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Cibola Cougars softball team scored a close 9-3 win over the Sandia Matadors.

Coming up next, the Cougars battle the Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) in a 5A District 1 outing, on Friday, April 1. Cibola will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Storm enter the outing with a 13-4 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Farmington (Farmington, NM).
