The Liberty Lions softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host South Mountain Jaguars to 1 in the Lions non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Liberty improves its record to 4-12 on the year. The Lions travel to Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ) to clash with the Jaguars in a 6A Desert Valley game on Thursday, March 31. The Jaguars come into the game with a record of 8-8. Boulder Creek lost 13-3 in their recent league game against Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ)

In their next game, the Jaguars clash with the Browne Bruins (Phoenix, AZ) in a 6A Metro game, on Thursday, March 31. South Mountain will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Bruins come into the game with a 5-6 record after their 12-0 league win over Alhambra (Phoenix, AZ).
