Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ) and the host McClintock Chargers (Tempe, AZ), witnessed Sunrise Mountain's softball squad prevail over McClintock by a count of 14-4.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Apollo for a 5A Northwest match on Friday, April 1. Sunrise Mountain will face a Hawks squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ). The Hawks record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, McClintock moves to 3-7 on the season. The Chargers travel to Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ) to face the Falcons in a 5A Northeast Valley match on Friday, April 1. The Falcons go into the match with a record of 9-4. Cactus Shadows won 13-1 in their recent non-league match against Central (Phoenix, AZ)
