The Providence Grove Patriots softball team scored 2 runs and limited the visiting McMichael Phoenix to 1 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Providence Grove improves its record to 12-0 on the year. The Patriots travel to Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A game on Friday, April 1. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 8-3. Southwestern Randolph lost 6-5 in their recent non-league game against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)

In their next game, the Phoenix clash with the Reidsville Rams (Reidsville, NC) in a Mid-State 2A game, on Friday, April 1. McMichael will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Rams come into the game with a 1-5 record after their 19-0 league loss to West Stokes (King, NC).
