North Carolina High School Softball - South Stanly holds off Piedmont

March 30, 2022: Norwood, NC 28128

Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) and the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), witnessed South Stanly's softball squad tip Piedmont by a count of 3-1.

The Rowdy Rebel Bulls now sport a 9-2 record. They play next when they host Union Academy for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A match on Friday, April 1. South Stanly will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Piedmont moves to 10-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to meet the Mavericks in a Southern Carolina 4A match on Friday, April 1. The Mavericks go into the match with a record of 7-1. Marvin Ridge won 15-3 in their recent league match against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC)
