The South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) baseball nipped the host Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), 7-6 in Thursday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Pointers encounter the Fairland Dragons (Proctorville, OH) in a Ohio Valley contest, on Monday, April 3. South Point will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record.

The Lions now sport a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to The New Community School for a non-league contest on Sunday, April 2. Boyd County will encounter a Sabers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Beachwood (Beachwood, OH). The Sabers record now stands at 5-2.
