The Mount Pleasant Tigers baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Cox Mill Chargers to 4 in the Tigers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Tigers (10-3) will now prepare for their match against North Stanly (New London, NC). The Comets go into the Yadkin Valley 1A/2A match with a 11-3 record. In their last match, North Stanly tipped Albemarle (Albemarle, NC), 23-0, in a league match.
The Chargers (6-6) will now prepare for their match against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wildcats go into the Greater Metro 4A match with a 6-7 record. In their last match, Lake Norman was edged by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 11-2, in a league match.
