Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Wilkes-Barre loses to Hughesville

March 30, 2023: Wilkes-Barre, PA

The Hughesville Spartans crushed the host Wilkes-Barre baseball team by a tally of 21-8 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now hold a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wellsboro for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 1. Hughesville will face a Hornets team coming off a 23-4 league win over Northeast Bradford (Rome, PA). The Hornets record now stands at 3-0.

Next, the face the Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 1 bout, on Monday, April 3. Wilkes-Barre will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 10-1 non-league win over Emmaus (Emmaus, PA).
