The South Iredell Vikings crushed the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks baseball team by a count of 10-4 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Vikings now possess a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host West Cabarrus for a Greater Metro 4A bout on Friday, March 31. South Iredell will face a Wolverines team coming off a 1-0 league loss to South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 3-7.
Next, the Mavericks face the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 31. Mallard Creek will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 6-7 record after their 6-4 non-league win over A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC).
