In Thursday's non-league battle, the host George C. Marshall Statesmen soccer squad scored a close 6-0 triumph over the West Potomac Wolverines.
The Statesmen (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Herndon (Herndon, VA). The Hornets come into the Liberty battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Herndon was overwhelmed by Robinson (Fairfax, VA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
The Wolverines (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lake Braddock (Burke, VA). The Bruins come into the Patriot battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Lake Braddock nudged Annandale (Annandale, VA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
