Virginia High School Soccer - McLean knocks off West Springfield

McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders confront the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) in a Liberty challenge, on Tuesday, April 11. McLean will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Saxons enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 1-0 non-league win over South Lakes (Reston, VA).

The Spartans now have a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairfax for a Patriot challenge on Monday, April 10. West Springfield will confront a Lions team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA). The Lions record now stands at 4-0.
