In Thursday's non-league game, the host Mount Pleasant Tigers baseball team scored a tight 7-6 victory over the Cox Mill Chargers.
The Tigers (8-1) will now prepare for their game against South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league game with a 5-6 record. In their last game, South Iredell tipped West Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 1-0, in a non-league game.
The Chargers (6-4) will now prepare for their game against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 6-3 record. In their last game, Lake Norman was edged by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 11-3, in a non-league game.
