The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY) and the visiting Rondout Valley Ganders (Accord, NY), saw Valley Central's lacrosse team top Rondout Valley by a margin of 20-7.
The Vikings (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against La Salle Institute (Troy, NY). The Cadets enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, La Salle Institute was overwhelmed by Columbia (East Greenbush, NY), 17-7, in a non-league challenge.
The Ganders (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Kingston (Kingston, NY). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Kingston was overwhelmed by Delaware Valley (Milford, PA), 22-8, in a non-league challenge.
