Acalanes Dons (Lafayette, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA), 14-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Dons now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to College Park for a Diablo - Foothill challenge on Tuesday, April 11.
With the loss, Miramonte falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Matadors host Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA) to battle the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 8-2.
