In Thursday's non-league contest, the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), by a margin of 12-2.

With the triumph, Bessemer City moves its record to 2-9 on the year. The Yellow Jackets host North Gaston (Dallas, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Monday, April 3. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 7-3. North Gaston won 15-0 in their recent league contest against Huss (Gastonia, NC)

In their next game, the Greenwave play the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) in a Big South 3A contest, on Friday, March 31. Ashbrook will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Red Raiders come into the contest with a 1-8 record after their 13-2 league loss to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC).
