The LaVille Lancers softball team (Lakeville, IN), was routed 11-1 in Thursday's non-league test with the host Bremen Lions (Bremen, IN)
Coming up next, the Lions encounter the South Bend Clay Colonials (South Bend, IN) in a Northern Indiana test, on Tuesday, April 11. Bremen will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
The Lancers (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN). The Knights enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Mishawaka Marian prevailed over Tippecanoe Valley (Akron, IN), 6-2, in a non-league test.
Game Summary
Bremen finally picked up a win on Thurday at Pfeiffer Field 11-1.
The Lady Lions ended the first inning on a double play off a line out to Katie Moyer in centerfield and a strong throw to Yajaira Jimenz at first to double up the runner.
In the bottom of the frame Mickie Shively singled, Peyton Mason reached first on a past ball on strike three. Both scored on a singe by Delainey Neher. Three more runs scored on two walks, 2 errors, and a wild pitch.
The Lions then added 6 runs in the 2nd as Mason walked & Neher slugged a home run over left center field. Chrissy Grabowski then singled, Eliana G rubbs walked, Avery Wildauer then singled in a run and Jimenez singled in another pair of runs. Finally Makenzie Shumaker singled in Jimenez.
