The Cox Mill Chargers softball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Mount Pleasant Tigers to 5 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Cox Mill improves its record to 6-5 on the year. The Chargers host Mooresville (Mooresville, NC) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Greater Metro 4A game on Friday, March 31. The Blue Devils come into the game with a record of 8-3. Mooresville lost 2-0 in their recent league game against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A game, on Tuesday, April 4. Mount Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Comets come into the game with a 9-6 record after their 16-0 league win over Albemarle (Albemarle, NC).
