Mississippi High School Softball - North Pike holds off Germantown

North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Germantown Mavericks (Madison, MS), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Jaguars now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Sumrall for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. North Pike will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 15-7 league win over Poplarville (Poplarville, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 13-5.
With the loss, Germantown falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Murrah (Jackson, MS) to battle the Mustangs in a 6A Region 4 challenge on Friday, March 31. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
