Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Archbishop Spalding for a non-league game on Saturday, April 1.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland game, on Monday, April 3. Patuxent will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 17-1 league win over Lackey (Indian Head, MD).
