In Thursday's non-league contest, the Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL) softball team held off the host Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL), by a margin of 19-18.
With the triumph, Rich Township moves its record to 1-3 on the year. The Raptors travel to Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL) to play the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Friday, March 31. The Cardinals come into the contest with a record of 0-2. Blue Island Eisenhower lost 18-10 in their recent non-league contest against Thornwood (South Holland, IL)
In their next game, the Meteors play the Bremen Braves (Midlothian, IL) in a South Suburban contest, on Monday, April 3. Thornton Fractional North will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Braves come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 10-7 non-league win over Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL).
