The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains baseball team (Bascom, OH), was tipped 17-16 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting Lakeview Bulldogs (Cortland, OH)

The Bulldogs now hold a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin-Simpson for a non-league test on Sunday, March 31. Lakeview will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Greenbrier (Greenbrier, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-4.

With the defeat, Hopewell-Loudon falls to 3-1 on the season. The Chieftains travel to Fostoria (Fostoria, OH) to battle the Redmen in a non-league test on Thursday, April 4. The Redmen come into the test with a record of 1-3. Fostoria lost 19-0 in their recent non-league test against Napoleon (Napoleon, OH)
