In Saturday's non-league game, the host Waterloo Bulldogs baseball team scored a tight 10-5 victory over the Marion Wildcats.
The Bulldogs (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Freeburg (Freeburg, IL). The Midgets go into the non-league game with a 6-3 record. In their last game, Freeburg tipped North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL), 10-4, in a non-league game.
The Wildcats (10-2) will now prepare for their game against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL). The Rams go into the South Seven game with a 3-8 record. In their last game, Mt. Vernon was overwhelmed by Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL), 1-0, in a non-league game.
