Colorado High School Baseball - Montezuma-Cortez nips San Juan

March 30, 2024: Cortez, CO 81321

Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting San Juan Broncos (Blanding, UT), 9-8 in a league test.

With the win, Montezuma-Cortez upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Panthers host Dolores (Dolores, CO) to battle the Bears in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 2. The Bears come into the test with a record of 0-8. Dolores lost 14-11 in their recent non-league test against Ignacio (Ignacio, CO)

With the defeat, San Juan falls to 5-4 on the season. The Broncos travel to Monticello (Monticello, UT) to battle the Buckaroo in a non-league test on Friday, April 12. The Buckaroo come into the test with a record of 2-0. Monticello won 12-11 in their recent non-league test against Dolores (Dolores, CO)
